Aval Upuma (Thick Poha Upuma)

Ingredients:

Poha - 3 cups
mustard seeds - 1 spoon
green chillies - 2(cut into small pieces)
channa dal - 1 spoon
Salt - as needed
Oil - 3 spoons

Preparation:


  • Soak the Poha in hot water hardly for a minute until it becomes soft.Take out the poha and remove the water sticking to it.
  • Now in a pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds ...wait till it splutters.
  • Add green chillies, channa dal., mix well.
  • Now add the soaked poha, salt and mix well for 2-3 mins.
Aval Upuma is ready :)

  2. your aval upma has come out so well. its so white and perfectly made. Most of the time mine gets sticky ;-)
